Do not go during Song Kran,, April is the hottest month. Better during december and january ;)

When I first moved to Taiwan during the summer season I used to use convenience stores, when out walking, as my refuge from the heat.

In Bangkok I used a similar strategy coupled with lots of cool showers through-out the day.

brilliant tips. hope that marble resting place was COOL. i don’t do well with being hot (heat stroke) and so am always looking for ways to cool down. thanks!

Great post, and we sure can relate to the tips! Seven-Elevens were a safe haven for us, and a great place to cool off. Our daughter Emma would always mention it when she saw one (which was every 5 minutes), “Let’s go to 7-11 and cool off!”

Ah, if only there were plenty of public pools. Growing up in hot & humid Florida, they were our saviors growing up!
