From the frequent of my post about McDonald’s fast food chain, you will think that I work for them or such a bad mom with no regard of health to her kids. Well, I’m not working or get paid by McDonald’s. And we typically eat at McDonald’s only once a week (ok this one is just a joke!! Plus there are ways to have a quick meal with relatively healthy meal)
But I can’t help featuring a cool McDonald’s we have come across during our travel. It’s just refreshing to see a franchise owner put in a lot of thought and effort into making their McDonald’s stood out.
On our way to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, we stopped for a quick lunch break before checking-in at this McDonald’s inside the Walt Disney World area. As soon as we parked we already knew that this one has something different from other typical McD you found along the highway. The front entrance has a shade area with whimsical outdoor seating. Bamboo trees lined up the wall provides a sense of peace even during a busy lunch time.
Walking inside, I wasn’t sure if we were in the same fast food chain that we love to hate. But yet, there it was a sign welcoming you from them.
The seating area are large and open with colorful chairs suited for lifting up your mood and getting you ready for a day inside the Happiest Place on Earth.
It’s only appropriate that with its close distance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they have thought about family in their design. A smaller size stools in front of TV playing Disney’s cartoon has given kids their own space to enjoy their meals.
Overall, it’s a great way to have a quick and cheap meal before hitting up Disney’s theme parks. Kids loved the outdoor seating where they could sit back and relax a bit and I loved the clean design with colorful furniture. Because sometimes a meal is not just about the food but the ambiance as well.
