Typically, I share more than just a photo during Photo Friday but today I just want to share the look on Mr. Z’s face of how happy and excited he was to be able to take the Amtrak Cascades from Seattle to Vancouver. It was one of the highlight on his experience during our Seattle trip.
Check out other travelers’ photos at Delicious Baby – Photo Friday.

Yes, I love, Love, LOVE train travel too! Wish we had more here in the States!
I know!!! I wish it’s more trains and more affordable for families. If we didn’t find a discount, it is typically more expensive to travel by train than by car. It should be the other way around!
The expression on your little guy’s face is exactly how I feel about train travel. WHEEEEEEEEE!
Me too, Pam! :)
I always forget about that train from Seattle to Vancouver. I think me and the little guy will be on it one day soon. Or down to Portland. Hmmmm…trains really are a great way to travel with kids. And the expression on your son’s face is priceless. There is a happy moment to remember always!
Your little guy will absolutely love it! Look out for a deal they run. We grab tickets for our family of 4 for less than $80 during their sale event. Definitely one of the highlighted for my little dude. :)
Now that is an incredible sale. Thanks for the tip. I’ll be on the lookout!
That’s one happy boy! Did that smile last the whole trip? We did the overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai last night and it has to be one of our favourite travel memories. The kids literally climbed the walls they were so excited.
It did, Tracy! We have yet to do train travel in Thailand. I plan to do it next summer when we go back to visit.
I’m with Mr. Z! I can’t think of another way to travel I love more than the train. I only wish the US was more connected by rail =/
So true, Kristin! It will make traveling in the US more fun! :)
That is the best smile! Love the train! We want to do a Vancouver to Seattle to Portland trip someday. That’d be the perfect way to get between the cities!
Oh! That will be a fun trip for sure.
