This Summer we went to Orlando for a quick getaway and met up with great friends. One of our visit was our favorite store in Downtown Disney – The Lego Store.
Mr. Z has become such a big fan of Lego ever since he learned to master the Wii controller and play Lego Star Wars.
We spent hours in the store alone.

I was mesmerized by the wall full of colorful lego pieces.

Mr. Rojo was drooling over the Millenium Falcon lego.

Miss J was busy assemble her own gang

Mr. Z was all over the place, bouncing from the race table to the playground and back to the train table all made from lego of course.
I could fancy a giddy kid who will have eye wide when we arrive at the Legoland in San Diego.. Oh! The joy that we will get to see from their faces will worth all the troubles flying across the country during one of the busiest season. Until then…

Takes me back to my childhood, Lincoln logs, Tinker Toys, legos and panels and girders.
We spent hours wandering Downtown Disney…the lego statues all over were enough to fascinate my kids. I can’t wait to see your San Diego pictures!
Scott and I spent HOURS at the original Legoland in BFE Denmark when we lived there. Oh yes, we were sans kids and still visited EVERY exhibit and went on EVERY ride (and walked out with him carrying a large back of Legos for himself, too, hehe)!
WHAT fun! we love the lego games (star wars, indy, batman) and can play them for hours. but i also love playing with legos and creating such cool things. great photos!
@Tim: Yes. I think some toys are classic and timeless like Lego.
@Jen: Isn’t it one of the best free thing to do with kids? :) Love downtown disney!!
@Kristin: Us too.. We are a BIG Disney fan even before kids. We went there probably 6 times during our 3 years together before kids. :) I would love to visit original Legoland. That will be something.
@Jessie: Oh! Yes.. Our kids can play lego for hours until they start fighting for the same piece. :)
LOVED Lego as a kid. That place looks so fun!
I’ve never made it to Legoland, though I’d love to go. When I was a child, one of the department stores in Sydney had a huge lego display every Christmas and we’d go to see that after visiting Santa. Priceless!
I was never very good at Legos myself but I love the whole idea about how creative you can get with them. My favorite pic is the wall-o-legos.
I had Legos as a child and my kids did as well. Thew ould play with them for hours stretching their imagination. Thanks for the memories.

What a cool store! How could you ever get the kids out….. I’d sure have trouble getting mine out if I went there!
Lego land looks so much fun. I wonder if some guy actualy makes all the models or if they are already made when they get there
Forget the kids, I would be giddy over all of that! Love to pull the legos out with my son, of course, he is only three so it is really for me that they are out!
now those are some lego statutes! Could you imagine how long it took them to make it. I know it takes us like 3 hours for a little house.
Legos are awesome. We just discovered that they made pink sets just for girls. So fun!
Love the pics!! Luckily the girls aren’t into legos, yet. They are a foot killer when left on the floor!
Wow, a kids paradise!
I spent hours playing with Legos as a child and loved constructing all sorts of planes, buildings, anything I could. Brings back good memories when life was much simpler!
Nice way to whet their appetite for a whole theme park of legos. You guys are going to LOVE San Diego.
I loved Legos as a kid. I’m so jealous that kids now have all these neat Lego displays to enjoy!
I would LOVE to take my kids to Legoland! What a great place!
I love the picture of the legos organized in their cubbies…can you imagine having a set up like that at home?
That is such a fun place. Great photos. If you have a chance, the mall of america in minnesota has a huge lego land that is worth checking out as well.
