There is no doubt that one of the favorite past time for families in Bangkok is going to the mega mall. There are more malls than I could care to remember. One of our mall tour during our Thailand trip was at the Fashion Island shopping center at outskirt of Bangkok in Kan Na Yao district on Ramindra road.
The top floor of Fashion Island is the Kid’s Island where kids could play to their hearts content.
The most unique play area has to be the Jellyfish where kids can step into a huge bubble and float above the water.
Just think of a bubble boy on the water! It was very simple but provided great fun for a whole 3 minutes. It might seem like 3 minutes was a really short time but I could tell that toward the end they were exhausted.
Kids would wait in line to step in the bubble ball while the attendant inflated the ball.
After the balls were fully inflated, they were gently loaded in the water. And off they go trying to run, jump or simple pretend they were walking on the water.
OH.. If only they have an adult version for us to try!

Truly strange but very cool!
Man, I would definitely have been jealous of my kids!! Just a little jealous! :-)
wow that looks like so much fun! I can see how they would be tired even after 3 minutes…
That does look interesting, and I would definitely try it if I had the chance, but in true “mother” form, I keep wondering how they breathe in there!
I can see that it would be fun – but I’d be the anxious Mum on the side wondering if they’d sink or if they could breathe
I’d want to try it too…looks so futuristic. Made for some cool pictures too.
That is amazing! I would love to try that. Oh yes, they need an adult version!
Gosh! So like the gigantic malls they have in Manila. It’s the aircon that does it, you know…
My son and I are in BKK in a couple of weeks. It will, technically, be our third visit this year, but we’ve hardly explored the city at all… I’ll definitely get him in one of those balls…
That looks totally awesome! I’ll add it to the list for when we finally get to Thailand with the kids.
That looks like amazing fun! I shall make a note of it for our trip to Bangkok next year.
Very cool indeed.
It looks like a lot of fun. Could you give me the address of that Shopping Mall? My grandson is coming to visit shortly and I would love to take him there.
